MOMENTUM EXISTS – MANAGE YOUR ‘P’

This poster displays the simple and catchy equation for momentum, being….. p = m v and stamped onto the poster is the tag line question “Get it?”
This poster is designed to stimulate thought and discussion between people who may already know that p stands for momentum and the m and the v stands for mass and velocity….. and those who do not know….. yet.

This posters relation to momentum is:
* That….. Momentum (‘p’) is affected by mass (‘m’)….. which all objects on, in and including the vehicle itself….. have a measure of mass.
* That….. Momentum (‘p’) is affected by velocity (‘v’)….. which all moving objects (in this case relating to moving vehicles)….. have a measure of velocity.

ME01. Momentum is a quantity….. you have ‘none’ or you have ‘some’.

The initial goals (all images) are:
1. To stimulate… Awareness to momentum and its presence on our roads.
2. To stimulate… Discussion and argument (debate) from road users, in response to seeing this image and being aware of the accompanying explanations available.

1. If you knew what momentum was…. would you recognise the poster to be correct?
2. Would you agree, momentum is relevant to road safety?
